Aircraft Fight, Incident on the Western Front, and More From 1TapGames

The concept of aerial warfare has not changed since its inception. The first combat occurred during World War I. Fighters were armed with forward-firing machine guns and could target their opponents with them. Because of their limited range, this type of combat was usually conducted at short distances. However, in some war games, long range combat is possible. This game will let you experience the thrill of air battles from the comfort of your own home.

In Aircraft Fight, you'll take control of the enemy aircraft and use the aircraft's speed against its own. This game simulates aircraft dogfights in a realistic way. In this version, you'll be piloting a USAFF-105D, which shot down a North Vietnamese MiG-17 during the Vietnam War. A scene from Incident on the Western Front shows a dogfight between five fighter planes. A Royal Flying Corps biplane is seen flying towards a downed German airplane, which is being blasted to bits.

After World War II, the U.S. Air Force's focus switched to atomic bombs and small, fast bombers. But the allied air force quickly adapted their own tactics and techniques. For example, Albert Ball used his Lewis gun in a top wing adjustable Foster mount to fire upwards into the enemy aircraft. Meanwhile, Mick Mannock and James McCudden stressed the importance of cooperation between fighter pilots and the advantages of attacking from height.
